Getting Love-Powered
The Love-Powered Diet, in its 3rd re-incarnation
By Deb Radloff
Bo and I had the great pleasure of a veggie-filled evening in the beautiful Peter Max studio, where the beaming Victoria Moran (author, life-coach, animal lover, activist, and avid yogi) was having her book re-release party for The Love-Powered Diet, a book that has been published, and printed twice before, each time coming back because people needed the message in the book. The book comes from Victoria’s own experience with over-eating and yo-yo dieting at a young age, using food as comfort and therefore consuming to excesses. This book will help anyone to make peace with food and the wonderful bodies that we were all given. Moran has combined the tested principles of the Twelve Step program and applied them seamlessly to helping find a new way of life with food. More importantly, her book combines many of the principles of Yoga Yamas and Niyamas. Particularly the Yama-Brahmacharya: Self-restraint, and the Niyama-Santosha: Contentment. Victoria herself, is a gem to behold. A pure, happy woman; indeed living a well-deserved charmed life.
What’s more is that all of the book sales from her opening party were donated to help bring plant based foods to NYC school lunch-rooms. Bo and I bought our books and we are eager to start on our way to a love-powered life!
In fact, I will check back with a personal live-journal as I read and apply the principles in The Love-Powered Diet! Victoria Moran writes for Beliefnet.com, and you can check out her blog here:
